Saginaw – Jim McKay hit a 3 run homer in the 4th inning, Chris Modlin had 2 hits and Graham Church singled.
BC Pizza – Scott Cischke had 2 hits with a double, singles by Bill Brilley, Nick McIntosh, Dan Plichta and Bud Ormsbee.

Notes: This game was the highest scoring fast pitch softball game in known history at Ed White Field in Petoskey – 42 runs, 32 hits, 22 base on balls and just 2 errors for each team as the game took nearly 3 hours. Select Electric was behind 15-5 and scored 12 unanswered runs to take a 17-15 lead before Cary Trucking scored 10 runs in the top of the 7th and then held Select Electric to no runs in the bottom of the 7th.

Mayan – John Streeter had 2 doubles, Bill DeBeau had 2 hits, Tony Monk hit a 3 run homer, singles by Jim DeBeau, Marcus Doan, Mike Weidman and Joel Buckley.
B/TC – Shawn Racignol had 2 hits, Mike Piehl doubled, singles by Matt Zulski, Steve Hopkins, Kraag Lieberman and Kyle Jones.
Notes: B/TC had a 3-1 lead in the 3rd inning until a 2 out error in the bottom of the third opened the door for 5 runs. Mayan scored again in the 5th to take a 7-3 lead. B/TC scored 2 in the 7th before the game ended with one runner left on base.
 
Game 8: Saginaw Merchants – 9 (6 hits) over Cary Trucking – 1 (3 hits)
WP – Lee Wyckoff (3 K’s, 1 BB), LP – Ron Cary (2 K’s, 3 BB’s)
Saginaw – Lee Wyckoff hit a grand slam homerun in the 2nd inning, Steve Kinabee doubled, singles by Chris Modlin, Bob Gulick, Kyle Myczkowiak and Brandon Rood.
Cary – Andy Wade had 2 hits and Kevin Dirschell singled.

Rain on Saturday night halted play with 3 games remaining for the evening. Game 9, 10, 11 and 12 were rescheduled for Sunday morning, 5 inning games beginning in the 3rd inning, before moving back to 7 inning games with Game 13, 14 and 15.

Game 9: BASES / Trophy Case – 12 (10 hits) over Select Electric – 4 (3 hits) in 5 innings
WP – Scott Kelly (3 IP, 4 R’s, 3 H’s, 3 K’s, 1 BB), LP – Dave O’Keefe (3 IP, 12 R’s, 10 H’s, 0 K’s, 2 BB’s)
B/TC – Shawn Racignol had 2 hits with a grand slam homerun, Denny Lechowicz had 2 hits with a double, singles by Mike Piehl, Scott Kelly, Kraag Lieberman, Steve Hopkins, Jerry Lechowicz and Brad Hasse.

WP – Graham Church (5 IP, 1 K, 2 BB’s), LP – Jeff Buckley (4 2/3 IP, 4 K’s, 3 BB’s)
Saginaw – Jake Kowalski had 2 hits with a double, Lee Wyckoff had 2 hits with 2 RBI’s, Jim McKay had an RBI double to win the game in the bottom of the 7th and Chris Modlin singled.
Mayan – Singles by Jim DeBeau, Josh Foye and Dave DeBeau.
Notes: Game started in 3rd inning due to rain make-up.
Saginaw scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th to win. Modlin singled with one out, followed by by Kowalski’s double and Wyckoff’s single to bring in two runs. The next hitter struck out and with Wyckoff on 1st base, McKay hits his RBI double to win the game. Due to the rain that later halted the tournament, this game proved to be the championship game to have Saginaw Merchants the only undefeated team in the tournament.

Game 12: BASES / Trophy Case – 8 (11 hits) over The Party Shoppe – 0 (2 hits) in 5 innings
WP – Jim Potter (3 IP, 3 K’s, 0 BB’s), LP – Steve Hamlin (3 IP, 0 K’s, 0 BB’s)
B/TC – Mike Piehl had 2 hits with a homerun, Scott Kelly had 2 hits with a triple, Matt Zulski had 2 hits with a double, Denny Lechowicz and Jerry Lechowicz each had 2 hits and Shawn Racignol singled.
Party Shoppe – Singles by Jared Dohm and Denny Hewitt.

Game 13:
(This game went back to regulation 7 innings.)
The game was called in top of the 3rd inning due to lightning and heavy rain.
BASES / Trophy Case was leading 5-1 when play was stopped. Jim Potter was pitching for B/TC and Jeff Buckley was pitching for Mayan. Jim DeBeau led off the game for Mayan with a single off the fence but was thrown out at 2nd base by B/TC left-fielder Mike Piehl. Scott Kelly singled in the 1st inning for B/TC. Mayan went down in order in the top of the 2nd inning. Matt Zulski led off the 2nd inning for B/TC with a walk, was sacrificed to 2nd base by Denny Lechowicz, Steve Hopkins walked, Jerry Lechowicz singled in Zulski, Brad Hasse walked to load the bases and Mike Piehl hit a grand slam homerun in the bottom of the 2nd inning to increase the lead for B/TC to 5-0. For Mayan in the top of the 3rd inning, Josh Foye hit a one out solo homerun. Dave DeBeau then laid down a bunt single followed by an error when lightning flashed to pull the teams off the field.

The tournament was cancelled approximately 2:30 p.m. following the lightning and extremely heavy downpour that left the filed unplayable.

Game 13 was not a complete game, so Mayan Agency was awarded 2nd place because they had defeated BASES / Trophy Case earlier in the tournament in head to head competition. B/TC was awarded 3rd place and Saginaw Merchants were awarded 1st place as they were the only undefeated team remaining in the tournament.
