1st annual invitational in Dick Bare’s name. Dick is an MASA Hall of Fame pitcher and sponsor who played in Petoskey for many years. He is a regular at the ball park in Petoskey for the past three decades as he enjoys giving umpires assistance from the bleachers and is always quick with a joke and a laugh.

Notes: Dustin Memorial faced mercy rule game’s end with a 9-0 score going into the bottom of the 5th inning. They scored 6 runs to continue the game. In the bottom of the 7th inning Jim Klug had a single that brought in two runs, Richard Fosmore and Doyle Dustin who had each gotten hits and Carter Kiogima who had been hit by a pitch advanced to third base. Eric Fettig had a sacrifice fly to bring in Carter tying the game at 9’s. Tanner Farms scored three runs in the top of the 8th with the international tie breaker in effect as Brad Thenen hit a 2 run double after the first run scored on an error. In the bottom of the 8th inning, an error put two on with the tie breaker in effect, Nick Dustin had a sacrifice fly to bring in a run making it 12-10, Richard Fosmore singled to put two runners out. The next batter popped up to the catcher for the 2nd out and then Carter Kiogima hit a 3 run walk off homer to win the game 13-12.
