Lightning took the lead in the bottom of the 6th inning on Adam Saylor’s second homerun of the game. Tiffany’s scored 2 in the top of the 7th inning when Drew Collison singled, Dale Doughty sacrificed him to 2nd, Rich Katherns singled Collison in to score, Mike Meinecke sacrificed Katherns to 2nd base and Brad Gnatkowski had an RBI single with two outs to score the go ahead and winning run.

Lightning – Tyler Kelly had 2 hits with a homerun, Chad Knox had 2 hits, Chris Rivard and Steve Rivard singled and Matt Shook had a game winning single with 2 RBI’s in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Priority – Tracy Boetsma had 2 hits with a double, Terry Boetsma had a homerun, Mike Gruppen doubled, Scott Gruppen and Steve Gruppen each singled.
Notes – Priority scored 3 in the top of the 4th inning, Lightning scored 1 in the bottom of the 4th and 2 in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game at 3’s. Priority took the lead in the top of the 7th on Tracy Boetsma’s RBI double scoring Scott Gruppen who had reached on a walk. Lightning started the bottom of the 7th off with a lead off single by Chad Knox, failed bunt attempt forced Knox out at 2nd base for the first out, ground out unassisted to the first baseman for the 2nd out with a runner on 2nd base, base on balls to Chris Rivard, stolen base placed runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 out when Matt Shook hit a single through the middle to score both runners and win the game. (Shook had a 3 run homer in game 2 to tie the game also.)

Homer – Bruce Miller had 4 hits with a dramatic go-ahead 3 run homer in the 6th inning to give Homer the lead 8-7, Jeff Sherman had 3 hits with a homerun, Josh McCullough and Steve Myers each had 3 hits with a double, Bryan Boyd had 2 hits with a homerun and double and CJ Finch had 2 hits.
Lightning – Adam Saylor had 2 hits with a homerun and triple, Matt Shook had 2 hits with a homerun, Trevor Kelly had 2 hits with a double, Chad Knox had 2 hits, Chris Rivard homered and Bill Kunkel singled.
Notes – Homer opened the game with 2 runs in the top of the 1st, Lightning answered with 4 in the first and 3 in the second inning to take a 7-2 lead. Homer scored 2 in the 5th and ended the inning with runners on 2nd and 3rd base. Homer scored 4 runs in the 6th to take the lead 8-7 and then added 3 insurance runs in the top of the 7th inning.
After the second inning, Homer pitcher, Bryan Boyd, allowed just one base runner while striking out seven of the 15 outs over the final 5 innings.
