Tournament Director Note: Northern Michigan Fastpitch had three players from the Argentina National Team along with several other players from Midland to round out their roster this weekend. The Argentina softball players were in the US for several weeks of exhibition with their team and elected to stay in Midland and play additional games until their team competes in the ISC World Tournament in the US in August.

Tournament Director Note: Game 10 was shortened to 5 innings due to impending weather issues in hopes of getting some innings completed for the championship game. Game 11, Championship, started in a drizzle of rain and then by the 3rd inning it became a steady rain for the remainder of the game. The game was 2-2 going into the bottom of the 4th inning when Caleb Roberts from NMFP led off with a single, stole second base and then scored with one out when John Bush singled him home. Field conditions continued to worsen and the NMFP came alive for 6 additional runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to go up 9-2. Lightning was unable to score in the top of the 5th and the game was called by mercy rule as it was on the verge of being called due to declining field conditions. Thank you to all teams and players involved from the Blues, Crouch Electric, NMFP, Lightning, umpires and fans for sticking it out so the tournament could be officially completed.
