A wild pitch allowed Chase to go to second, then a ground out third to first keeping the runner at second for the first out. The next hitter also grounded out third to first after being looked back; however, this time he tried to make it to third on the throw to first base and was out 5-3-6 with stellar umpiring by the home plate ump who was within 20 feet of third base to make the close call with no arguments. In the bottom of the 6th, Jordan Sherman led off with a single, advanced to second on a passed ball and scored on an infield error. The next six hitters went down in order for a great old-time fast pitch game!
