Friday night saw rain and lightning that halted game three after two innings and was resumed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Saturday morning games were played in heavy fog and drizzle. There were light showers throughout the morning and early afternoon. Saturday early evening the temperature dropped into the low 50’s and reached the high 40’s by the time the final game of the night was done near 11:00 pm. Sunday was warmer and dry with temperatures in the 60’s.

BC Pizza – Bill Brilley had 2 hits with a game winning 3 run homer in the bottom of the 7th, Nick McIntosh had 2 doubles, 2 hits each by Tim Pennell, Scott Cischke and Doyle Dustin with a single from Kory Ciesielski.
BASES – Mike Piehl had 2 hits with a homerun, Matt Zulski homered, Aaron Wier tripled, doubles by Steve Hopkins and Scott Kelly, singles by Shawn Racignol, Bill Alward, Brad Hasse, Matt Hall and Rob Harris.
Notes – BASES led 6-5 into the bottom of the 7th inning when BC Pizza started the inning with a single followed by an error on a double play ball that left runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs. Sacrifice bunt moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd when Bill Brilley hit his game ending 3 run homer.

Cheboygan – Mark Schley and Jamie Wheelock each had 2 this with a double, Tom Tryban and Matt Skiera each had 2 hits, Randy Wheelock homered, Ben Schley singled.
Party Shoppe – Kolby Andrews had 2 homeruns, Brad Jones had 2 hits with a homer, Todd Flynn tripled, singles by Jarod Dohm, Jamie Barkley, Joel Dohm and Scott Lepird.

Notes – This game was halted Friday night after two complete innings due to lightning and severe thunderstorms that moved through. The game was resumed in the top of the 3rd inning at 8:00 am Saturday morning.

Notes – Party Shoppe scored three in the 1st, BASES scored 1 in the 4th and then 9 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 10-3 lead. BASES added 5 in the top of the 7th and Party Shoppe added 5 in the bottom of the 7th.

Notes – BC Pizza scored 8 runs in the first inning with the aid of 3 Cheboygan errors. They added 4 runs in the 2nd inning and 1 run in the 3rd inning to have a 13-0 lead before Cheboygan scored 2 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Notes – Mason County and BC Pizza each scored in the 1st inning, BC went up 2-1 after 3 innings, Mason County tied it at 2 in the top of the 4th, went ahead 3-2 in the top of the 5th, BC Pizza tied it at 3’s in the bottom of the 5th inning and then scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Francis Hiar pitched very well for BC Pizza through 5 innings to a 3-3 tie before Adam Dustin came in to start the 6th inning.

Notes – 2-2 tie after 7 innings. International tie breaker used in the 8th inning when neither team could score. Cheboygan scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th and held Mason County scoreless in the bottom of the 9th.

Notes – BC Pizza scored 4 runs in the top of the first on 2 homeruns (Cheboygan pitcher Stu Hancock had just thrown a 5 inning game against Munger and a 9 inning game against Mason County) , added 4 more in the 3rd inning, Cheboygan scored 2 in the bottom of the 4th inning to make it 8-2. BC Pizza answered with 3 more in the top of the 5th inning and kept Cheboygan from scoring to end the game under the mercy rule.
